Tucked away in the beautiful Dyfi valley, sandwiched between Ceredigion and Gwynedd near the historic Market town of Machynlleth, My family and I live in a 16th century welsh cottage surrounded by woods and hills. My environment inspires my creative work and also provides the raw materials I need.
All my products are made using either windfall timber from local farmers or wood felled as part of responsible and sustainable land management practices.
I never buy exotic or imported timber but Occasionally I will use reclaimed exotic woods (which I think is ok as it is re using wood that would otherwise be wasted)
Most of my bowls and utensils are turned or carved green and then dried slowly over a couple of months before oiling. I use a range of traditional and modern techniques and tools.
I am always interested in collaborating with other makers and designers, please get in touch via the contact page if you have a project or product in mind and would like to discuss possibilities and ideas.
Commissions and bespoke orders are very welcome. I can also make bespoke items from your own wood or tree if desired. Get in touch via the contact page or through instagram and facebook for an informal chat about your ideas.
